Job Description

Job Description The Junior Scrum Master will support a project for an internal systems enhancement initiative focused on pricing work in partnership with six internal Business Analysts. In this role, they will facilitate Agile ceremonies, support delivery execution, and reinforce Scrum practices while collaborating closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and key stakeholders. Working under the guidance of an experienced Senior Scrum Master, the Junior Scrum Master will contribute to predictable delivery, team alignment, and continuous improvement across the project team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring meetings are productive, time‑boxed, and outcome‑driven.
  • Reinforce Scrum values, Agile principles, and team accountability while supporting continuous improvement practices.
  • Partner closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure a well‑refined, prioritized, and transparent backlog.
  • Track sprint commitments, deliverables, and progress to support consistent and predictable delivery.
  • Identify, document, and proactively help remove impediments impacting team flow or delivery.
  • Escalate risks and blockers appropriately while maintaining ownership through resolution.
  • Monitor Agile delivery metrics such as sprint progress, velocity, burn‑down, and throughput to inform retrospectives and improvement actions.
  • Partner with leadership and stakeholders to address systemic issues impacting delivery and flow.
  • Promote collaboration, open communication, and a psychologically safe team environment.
  • Contribute to Agile ways of working and continuous improvement initiatives across the broader organization as needed.

  • 4-5 years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum Master or similar Agile delivery role.
  • Hands‑on experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and supporting Agile teams.
  • Strong meeting facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing team deliverables, sprint execution, and delivery tracking.
  • Ability to identify and address team impediments and delivery risks.
  • Experience supporting internal systems or enterprise‑level initiatives.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, sprint tracking, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment with teams primarily in Eastern and Central time zones.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent first‑level Scrum certification.
  • Exposure to change management practices within Agile or transformation initiatives.
  • PMI certification or familiarity with PMI frameworks.
