Job Description
W2 ONLY AND WILLING TO COMMUTE
Lisle 4 times per week (Monday-Thursday)ERP IMPLEMENTATION EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
- Primary need is hands‑on cutover & deployment execution
- Looking for an in‑the‑weeds PM, not high‑level / director‑style oversight
- Must personally create and drive:
- Cutover plans (pre / during / post)
- Sprint plans, backlogs, user stories
- Dashboards & burndown reporting
- Strong Agile / Scrum Master experience required
- Experience managing large ERP cutovers (40-50+ systems & stakeholders)
- Must run daily execution calls and task‑chasing during cutover
Tools:
ADO, Jira, Smartsheet, Excel (recent usage required) Notes- Lead the implementation of a Greenfield
SAP S/4HANA
transformation, moving from non-SAP legacy systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft, homegrown) to SAP on cloud.- Manage approximately 50 stakeholders and 50 integrating systems, coordinating and leading IT efforts to drive deliverables to closure.
- Work within an Agile/DevOps environment, utilizing tools like ADO or Jira for reporting, dashboards, and queries.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, scrum calls, and other checkpoints, ensuring alignment between legacy teams, IT leads, and product owners.
- Identify and remove roadblocks, manage risks and issues, and guide teams through the project management lifecycle.
- Validate data formats and ensure data extraction meets requirements, working closely with engineers and legacy teams for test script creation.
- Collaborate with SI partners like PWC, directing legacy teams to appropriate leads.
- STRONG Project Manager skillset (PM Processes/Best Practices): 5+ years corporate PM experience completing large scale/complex IT implementations with large/detailed project plans (critical path timelines in Microsoft Project) and directly managing their financial budgets. Skilled problem solver and change champion/leader.
Domain Knowledge Requirements:
Direct experience managing Greenfield Non-SAP Systems-to-SAP conversion implementations (not SAP- to-SAP conversions) with a high number of RICEFW's in a complex legacy application ecosystem.
SAP S/4HANA
modules and the ideal candidate should be experienced at seeing/uncovering risks, documenting risks and driving discussions with the SI/Stakeholders to take the appropriate actions to remove or materially reduce risk scenarios.- Experience in the Truck OEM, Heavy Equipment, Bus, or Electric Vehicle space is a plus.
Self-starter:
Works autonomously to determine/drive the proper process/communications needed in order to motivate people and drive the team to accomplish goals to make the project a success.- Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Experience speaking in large groups and delivering presentations to executive leadership. Must be able to take leadership feedback, quickly absorb and make decisions. Experience managing IT vendors (System Integrators) adhering to SOW/T&C, scope management and external vendor financials is required.
- Strong experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO) is required. PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus. Experience
- Requires in-depth knowledge of Project Management processes and best practices.
- Track record of implementing large scale and complex IT initiatives and their budgets is required.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certifications are strongly preferred.
- Experience using Agile practices to deliver is a must. Agile Certifications (CSM, CSP, etc.) are strongly preferred. Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Azure DevOps (ADO) is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of project finance and best practices is a must. Master of Business Administration preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word is required. Proficiency developing detailed project schedules and performing critical path analysis using Microsoft Project is required.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Green Belt training and/or certification is a plus.
- Proficient in applying established standards, resolving a wide range of complex problems of diverse scope in innovative ways, including problems where precedent may not exist.
- Change Champion with demonstrated history of success leading difficult projects where change is required and be comfortable leading organizational change. Responsibilities
- Works as a team leader in a fast-moving dynamic environment to deliver implementations that drive and support modernization across the organization.
- Must be comfortable with public speaking in large groups including Executive audiences. Networks with senior internal and external personnel.
- Must be a self-starter who is expected to develop detailed project scope, budget and schedules based on intent from leadership.
- Works autonomously to drive the proper process/documentation/tools needed to motivate to accomplish goals to make each project a success.
- Must be comfortable with real-time decision-making in the absence of complete or perfect information.
- Expected to identify, evaluate, document and develop mitigation plans for project risks and issues.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Must be a skilled problem-solver who follows through on corrective action implementation.
- Work is accomplished through independent contributions or project work requiring advanced subject area knowledge and decision-making skills.
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes.
- Instructs, coaches or provides informal guidance to other professionals or colleagues with less experience.
- Must be comfortable for up to 20% domestic travel. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lisle, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75.00
