Job Description

Scrum Master (Hybrid - Cincinnati, OH) Vaco is hiring a Scrum Master for a highly reputable client located in downtown Cincinnati. This is a hybrid position, requiring onsite presence 2 days per week and offering 3 days remote. •Please, no C2C or third party solicitations are accepted of any kind Vaco is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support newly formed teams made up of both seasoned and early career team members. While the broader business unit is highly mature in Agile practices, this team will require strong coaching, facilitation, and leadership to meet those high standards. As a Scrum Master, you will play a key role in supporting vendor-supplied business platforms and ensuring the successful delivery of technical, security, and development solutions for business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coach teams in the adoption and execution of Agile methodologies Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, reviews, and demos Guide team development by fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement Tailor Agile processes to fit team dynamics, including mentoring offshore development partners Track and communicate team velocity, sprint progress, and overall delivery health Proactively identify and remove impediments to ensure successful sprint outcomes Maintain transparency through Agile tools, ensuring backlog and sprint visibility Partner with stakeholders to communicate progress, priorities, and risks Support vendor management activities, including contract coordination and performance feedback Assist with platform onboarding, ensuring adherence to processes and checkpoints Collaborate with technology leaders to align business needs with system capabilities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of experience in Agile environments, including Scrum Master responsibilities Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification preferred Proven ability to manage complex initiatives with cross-team dependencies Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience supporting 1-3 medium to large Agile teams Guide and develop a newly established Scrum team with varying experience levels, while aligning with a highly advanced Agile environment.
