Job Description

Job Description We are seeking an Project Manager/ Scrum Master in San Antonio, TX to join a large oil and gas company, supporting Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) initiatives. This role leads day‑to‑day delivery execution, facilitates agile ceremonies, manages project plans, risks, and cross‑functional dependencies, and serves as the primary coordination point between IT delivery teams, business stakeholders, and plant operations. The PM/Scrum Master ensures work is delivered safely, reliably, and predictably while aligning execution to business priorities, operational schedules, and enterprise governance requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end delivery of Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) initiatives using Agile and hybrid delivery methods. Serve as Scrum Master, facilitating sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning while removing delivery impediments. Develop and maintain project and sprint plans, milestones, and delivery commitments. Track progress against scope, schedule, and objectives; proactively manage risks, issues, and cross‑functional dependencies. Coordinate delivery across IT teams, engineering, operations, vendors, and supporting enterprise groups. Act as the primary liaison between IT delivery teams, business stakeholders, and plant operations. Provide clear, timely communication on status, risks, decisions, and tradeoffs to technical and non‑technical audiences. Ensure alignment with enterprise IT governance, cybersecurity standards, safety requirements, and regulatory controls. Maintain required project reporting, documentation, and PMO artifacts. Promote accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
Location:
San Antonio, Onsite 4 days/week
Duration:
12 month contract, extensions likely, perm possible
Rate:

  •  Proven experience as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master delivering IT or operational technology initiatives
  •  Deep understanding of SAFe / Lean-Agile delivery
  •  Experience in industrial, C&I, OT, or regulated environments
  •  Ability to manage complex dependencies across technology and operations
  •  Clear, executive-level communication skills; Strong facilitation, planning, and execution skills in Agile or hybrid environments Experience with Cyber Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, energy, or other regulated environments preferred
