In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge software solutions that drive our business forward. Your expertise in a broad range of technologies, including web development, cloud infrastructure, and application programming interfaces (APIs), will be instrumental in delivering scalable and reliable systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects within an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create impactful software products that enhance user experience and operational efficiency. Duties Lead the architecture and implementation of robust web applications using frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, React, and Express.js. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to ensure seamless communication between front-end interfaces and back-end services. Design, build, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure leveraging AWS and Azure to support scalable applications. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Implement security best practices including RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and secure API integrations to safeguard data integrity. Write clean, efficient code in languages like Java, C++, Python, C#, JavaScript, and SQL; perform code reviews using GitHub and SVN repositories. Participate actively in Agile development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in software development with a strong background in web development frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and React. Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS and Azure for deploying scalable applications. Proficiency in RESTful API design and integration with third-party services. Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components such as Linux servers, SQL databases (MySQL, SQL Server), and application hosting environments. Hands-on experience with version control systems like GitHub and SVN for source code management. Familiarity with front-end technologies including JavaScript, React.js, and Express.js for developing engaging user interfaces. Knowledge of application security principles including RBAC and secure API practices to protect sensitive data. Ability to work within Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions efficiently. Strong problem-solving skills complemented by excellent communication abilities; experience in quantum engineering or VBA is a plus but not required.
