Job Description
About Us We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor with a reputation for combining high-quality consulting services with customized energy solutions. Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, as well as engineering applications and automated control systems. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and identify mechanical equipment on floor plans.
- The ability to identify mechanical equipment on drawings the following: Chillers, Boilers, Pumps, AHU's, FCU's, VAV's, and EF's.
- Understand basic electrical control circuits including 24VAC power and controller input/outputs.
- Be proficient and utilize Visio and or AutoCAD.
- Understand simple controls networking principles.
- Display knowledge of controls hardware
- Create P&ID's based on contract drawings P&ID's
- Develop controls submittals with assistance from senior level application engineers.
- Understand simple installation methods.
- Ability to implementation systems graphics per project scope
- Create guidelines, standards and templates for typical projects.
- Basic knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) requirements for control system installations. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in applications engineering preferred.
- Engineering skills required include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
- Working knowledge of at least one HVAC controls systems (preferably Delta, JCI or Andover)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with control system architecture design, programing, or maintenance desired.
- EIT or desire to obtain a PE license a plus.
Geographic Disclosure Compensation Range:
$35 - $40 per hourBenefits:
