Software Engineer#26-04952 Concord, CA On-site Contract Starts 5/04/2026 Ends 11/03/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Concord, CA. This is an 18+ month contract opportunity. This role is part of the Consumer Technology Group, supporting a mission-critical middleware platform used by over 120 internal clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and engineering of a Java-based application stack built with Spring Boot. This high-volume platform supports millions of daily transactions including account inquiries, authentication, and money movement, operating in a highly regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities:

Consult on or participate in moderatelyplex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering Contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables Review and analyze moderatelyplex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors Contribute to the resolution of moderatelyplex issues and consult with others to meet deliverables Leverage a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, andpliance requirements Design and build REST and XML based APIs, SSO integrations, and secure middleware services Engage in development across the full SDLC, working within enterprise d DevOps pipelines

Requirements:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or abination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education 2+ years of Leadership experience 4+ years of demonstrated experience working in inclusive, geographically distributed teams (onshore and offshore), including supporting, leading, and directing teams 4+ years of experience with middleware web services/API application design and implementation in a high-volume production environment 4+ years of engineering and technical leadership experience in supporting mission-critical applications Experience with Java-based application stacks, built using Spring Boot within a middleware/web services architecture Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills Desired skills: Experience in implementing Quality Engineering best practices and SDLC process improvements Working experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and application support Experience with one or more Agile tools for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira Knowledge and understanding of cloud readiness/cloud design principles/containerization (Kubernetes/Open Shift Platform) for Java/Spring applications Experience with one or more Observability/Monitoring tools: Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, AppDynamics, New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, TrueSight, or DynaTrace Experience or familiarity with Apigee or other API Management tools Deep experience in financial services, especially in high-volume, regulated environments Pay range: $51.56 - $59.56 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
