Job Description:
????
Confidential Opportunity:
AI-Native Forward Deployed Engineer Hybrid in San Francisco, CA Salary is up to $250,000 + Bonus & Equity We're partnering with a high-growth, well-capitalized company redefining how software delivers business outcomes in the age of AI. This is not another SaaS platform.
The Role:
AI-Native Builder (Forward Deployed) This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer impact . Think early growth engineers - but rebuilt for the AI era. You'll work directly with customers and internal teams to: Rapidly understand complex workflows and pain points Design and ship AI-powered prototypes (5-7 day cycles) Turn ambiguous problems into functional, high-impact solutions Iterate quickly and feed insights back into the core platform Help scale successful solutions into production systems ~80% technical. ~20% business/customer focused. This is a role for builders who thrive in ambiguous, high-ownership environments and want to work on problems that matter. What They're Looking For Core Traits Exceptional product intuition - you know what actually moves the needle Ability to translate messy, real-world problems into working systems quickly Strong curiosity and agency - you don't wait for answers, you find them Comfort operating in unstructured, fast-moving environments High EQ and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Deep motivation to own outcomes, not just ship code Technical Mindset This is an AI-native engineering environment . Most code is AI-assisted (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, similar tooling) Speed, adaptability, and leverage matter more than specific languages You should already be thinking in terms of: LLM workflows rapid prototyping via AI tooling system design for AI-driven products The strongest candidates aren't just using AI - they are fundamentally rethinking how software gets built because of it.
Important:
This is not a role for engineers just beginning to explore AI. They're looking for candidates who have already internalized how AI transforms products and workflows .
