Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Applications Architect for a contract opportunity in Escondido, CA supporting enterprise healthcare applications with a focus on Cerner Patient Access and Scheduling. This full-time, day-shift role is ideal for a senior healthcare IT professional who enjoys designing scalable solutions, leading architecture strategy, and improving mission-critical systems that support patient care operations. As an Applications Architect, you will work in a collaborative, innovation-focused environment with leadership and technical teams to align application architecture with business needs. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise technology direction, mentor application teams, improve system performance, and contribute to high-impact healthcare technology initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture design, implementation, and optimization of complex healthcare applications.
  • Support and enhance Cerner Patient Access, Cerner Scheduling, Experian eligibility and verification tools, and patient management reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leadership to align application solutions with organizational goals.
  • Establish and maintain architecture standards, governance practices, design patterns, and technical best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and solution recommendations to development and application teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues, evaluate emerging technologies, and improve system scalability and performance. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay range: $71.00 to $108.00 per hour.

    Full-time, day shift.

    40 hours per week.
