Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Enterprise Mobility Technician to join our team. The Enterprise Mobility Technician is responsible for supporting, managing, and securing mobile devices, endpoint systems, and mobility platforms across the organization. This role ensures reliable access for field staff, strengthens device and data security, and supports enterprise mobility tools such as MDM/Intune platforms and mobile application deployments. The technician will work closely with the End User Computing team to maintain high service levels and support the county s mobile workforce. Please note that this position requires passing a California Law Enforcement Telecommunications (CLETS) background check, and authorization to work in the United Stats (see below for specifics) https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis
Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer and support enterprise mobility platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Apple Business Manager, and Android Enterprise. Perform device provisioning, enrollment, software deployment, and configuration for mobile devices (iOS, Android, rugged devices, tablets, hotspots). Configure, secure, and manage mobile applications, including compliance policies, conditional access, and patch/version management. Provide support for mobility solutions, including setup, configuration, and maintenance of mobile devices and related technologies. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mobile devices, applications, and connectivity Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support for mobile endpoints, including network connectivity, device failures, OS updates, and application issues. Maintain accurate asset records for mobile hardware, SIM inventory, replacements, and lifecycle management. Develop and maintain documentation for mobility workflows, device configuration standards, and user guidance. Collaborate with helpdesk, networking, and security teams to improve mobility service reliability and end‑user experience Participate in pilot testing, rollout planning, and evaluation of new mobility technologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Relevant certifications or degrees preferred. Experience working with vendors
Education and Experience:
Educational background in enterprise mobility technology, electronics, or a related field is highly desirable. Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, electronics, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate) are highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of mobility platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Apple business Manager and Android Enterprise. Ability to troubleshooting and repair mobile devices such as phones and tablets. Working knowledge of device policies and application deployment.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and move personal computers as needed (< 50 lbs.) Must be able to remain seated for extended periods. Regular use of a computer and other office machinery, such as printers and copy machines. Occasional movement around the office. Frequent communication via telephone.
