ECS provides computer hardware, software, and related services to ISVs, OEMs, ODMs, and other computing technology companies, both directly and through channels. The Software Engineer Intern gains hands-on experience working on real-world software projects alongside experienced engineers. This role is suited to someone passionate about technology, eager to learn, and excited to contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced development environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and tools. Collaborate within the engineering team and manufacturing environment to gather requirements and implement solutions. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in languages such as Go, Python, JavaScript, or C++. Participate in code reviews and team meetings to learn the best development practices. Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing software. Contribute documentation and technical specifications. Learn and apply modern development tools, version control, and CI/CD practices. Support internal testing and QA processes to help ensure software quality. Essential Education, Skills, and Experience:

Currently pursuing or recently completing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Go, Python, JavaScript, or C++. Familiar with computer hardware, computing components, and a general understanding of how computers work. Familiarity with software development principles and version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with message queuing (RabbitMQ), microservices, microservice management and control. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Self-motivated, curious, and willing to learn new technologies. Exposure to web development, APIs, or cloud technologies. Experience with Linux or Windows environments. Familiarity with software development processes. The base pay range for this internship is $23/hour.
