We are seeking a motivated Application Developer Intern to join our Information Technology team in Pueblo, Colorado. This position will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of applications that enable critical manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining reliable, efficient systems that support production, quality, and shipping processes within a large-scale steel manufacturing environment. This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real-world enterprise systems in a fast-paced industrial setting. We anticipate this position will begin early June and conclude in August-- Assist in the design, development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle APEX applications. Support existing MIS by troubleshooting defects, resolving user issues, and implementing enhancements. Research business requirements and translate them into technical solutions under the guidance of senior developers. Write, test, and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code to support application functionality. Participate in application testing, validation, and quality assurance processes. Assist in deploying applications and updates to development, testing, and production environments. Maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, workflows, and user guides. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (manufacturing, quality, shipping, and IT) to understand operational needs. Perform administrative tasks related to system access, data validation, and reporting. Attend team meetings, training sessions, and project reviews. Follow IT policies, security standards, and change management procedures. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals. Requirements Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education/training. Knowledge and experience with process troubleshooting, and material flow logistics Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Basic working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL. Basic understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). Familiarity with Oracle APEX or low-code application development platforms is preferred. Ability to analyze problems, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment. Must be able to work onsite, Monday-Friday Term June-August 2026, following commencement of Spring Semester Compensation Undergraduate experience $25.00 - $28.00 per hour This role may not be eligible for the benefits programs listed below.
