JOB SUMMARY
The Applications Analyst will play a critical role in the design, development, testing, documentation and implementation of both new and existing software solutions. An Application Analyst I is expected to perform as a critical team member supporting IT applications often under the direction of a senior analyst or the IT Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Development and Optimization:
Possess a good foundation in understanding current software functionality, and assists in improvement opportunities Investigates, diagnoses, and resolves process or software issues Evaluates technical solutions Participation in HL7 and/or other interface monitoring and testing
Customer Service and Support:
Process Helpdesk requests and other day-to-day functions Track customer issues, provide communication updates, and ensure timely resolution Create and/or assist in training documentation for end users Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify areas of improvement and/or succes s
Project Management:
Assists Senior Analysts with project deliverables Contributes to initial research, implementation, to post implementation review

Evaluates and monitors quality data as it relates to the EMR Assists with custom reports and data validation to meet customer needs or regulatory requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university preferred, and minimum 3-year experience in a healthcare-related discipline required. Experience with statistical analysis, data management, or analytics preferred. Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Products and intermediate PC skills. Meditech and HL7 Interface experience preferred but not required. SQL database knowledge preferred but not required. Knowledge of hospital IT applications includes an understanding of integration with third party vendors. Clinical and financial knowledge of hospital/healthcare departmental processes. Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate well with non-technical customers.
HOURS:
