Panama City Beach, FL Summary New Venture Research Corporation (NVRC) is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions supporting critical defense programs. We are seeking an entry-level DevOps Engineer to research and develop cloud and automation solutions under the direction of a Senior Solutions Architect. This role will develop and implement systems that meet customer-set requirements. The DevOps Engineer will also automate the management and security of IT infrastructure using modern DevOps practices, building hands-on experience across cloud platforms, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code while contributing to a reliable, secure, and scalable technology environment. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Lead Solutions Architect and contract stakeholders to translate sponsor-defined requirements into secure, automated technical implementations that satisfy contract milestones. Support the automation of IT infrastructure management and provisioning using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools. Help implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline build, test, and deployment processes. Assist in automating security controls, monitoring, and compliance across cloud and on-premises environments. Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for automated workflows. Monitor system performance and reliability, and help troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to continuously improve DevOps practices. Required Minimum Qualifications Ability to rapidly and accurately develop technical solutions relating to automation and delivery Articulate detailed approaches to technical audiences Familiarity with version control (Git) and core networking and operating system concepts Basic scripting or programming ability (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell) Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technical requirements and challenges Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment Preferred Qualifications CompTIA Security+ Certification Required Education and Length of Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field No experience required for entry level role, internship or professional experience is a plus. Travel Requirements Travel up to 10% may be required. U.S. Citizenship Requirements Due to our contracts with the U.S. federal government and the requirement for a security clearance for this role, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens. Clearance Type Required Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain during the duration of their employment an active Secret security clearance.
