We are hiring an Application Architect ServiceNow to join our growing team!

Job DescriptionThis position plays a lead role in the delivery of ServiceNow Implementation projects and driving strategic transformational change of the ServiceNow Platform. The role is responsible for the architecture and drives implementation/integration of the ServiceNow product and Integration with other systems. As well as, responsible for the overall architecture, design, implementation and integrity of the ServiceNow application within the enterprise. Ensures that the solution delivered to business units are engineered in accordance with corporate architecture and infrastructure standards. While this role is primarily focused on architecture and technical leadership, the architect will also spend a portion of their time performing hands‑on development and configuration work to support key initiatives. Candidates should be comfortable contributing directly to build efforts when needed to ensure high‑quality, scalable solutions. What Would You Do? The Specifics.
Platform Architecture & StrategyPlatform Architecture and Design:
Develop and maintain the overall architecture of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices.
System Maintenance and Upgrades:
Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring compliance, minimal disruption, and optimal performance.
Integrations:
Lead the design and implementation of integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, LDAP, SSO, and other protocols.

As a senior technical member of the team, delivers hands-on configuration, development, and integration services and serves in a delivery assurance capacity for all product deliverables.

Maintains deep, comprehensive knowledge of ServiceNow's capabilities and constraints.
Governance & Best PracticesDocumentation and Governance:
Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and governance standards for the platform.

Review and approve solution designs to prevent platform sprawl and technical debt.

Provides expert-level support and technical mentoring to the implementation team.

Works with the Cyber Security Team to build out robust security architecture.

Act as the final technical authority for platform decisions.

Stakeholder & Leadership EngagementRecognizes, advises, and develops opportunities to leverage ServiceNow as a platform.

Provides expert-level support and technical mentoring to the implementation team.

Responds to executive requests for information, proposal documents, and product demonstrations.

Acts as the ServiceNow subject matter expert at executive briefings/marketing events.

QualificationsWork Experience10+ years of enterprise-level application design/architecture experience, with extensive experience in Java/JavaScript, web frameworks, middleware, and high-volume web-based application design and systems integration. (Required)4-6 years of specific cloud implementation knowledge in architecting solutions for ServiceNow or similar implementations. (Required)EducationFour-year college degree or equivalent experience. (Required)Licenses, Certifications, Professional AffiliationsServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Master Architect (CMA) (Preferred)TIL v4 certification (preferred) Additional SkillsWorking knowledge of all ServiceNow modules utilized within the National Vision environment (ITSM, ITOM, SPM, CSM, HRSD, Workflow Data Fabric) (Required)Proven success on projects with large-scale deployments; understanding of application life-cycle management. (Required)Experience in emerging cloud technologies and vendor landscape with the ability to balance cost against benefits. (Required)Ability to develop high-level design documents addressing the business, infrastructure, security, support, and operational needs of a solution. (Required)Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including polished presentation skills with the ability to deliver technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and understandable manner. (Required)Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead assignments/teams and mentor others. (Required)Provide excellent customer service, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
