The Configuration Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in 3D modeling, CAD design, and an in-depth understanding of manufacturing principles. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of design projects.Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Utilize CATIA software to create and modify 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing processes and products. Develop detailed design specifications, CAD models, and engineering drawings in compliance with industry standards and company guidelines. Collaborate with product development, engineering, and production teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards. Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to determine the best design solutions and materials for manufacturing. Perform design reviews, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to enhance product design and manufacturing efficiency. Support the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes, tools, and technologies. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during the manufacturing process to resolve any design-related issues. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CATIA software, industry trends, and best practices in manufacturing design. Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and presentations to stakeholders. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS
)Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldExperience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with CATIA V5/V6, preferably in a manufacturing environmentSkills:
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and design using CATIA software. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing and design. Ability to adapt to new technologies and continuously improve design processes. Knowledge of additional CAD software and PLM systems preferred. Certification in CATIA or related engineering software, preferred. Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), preferred.Travel:
