Job Description

Job Description An Insight Global Fortune 500 retail client is looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer to support and scale their CI/CD ecosystem, build tooling, and support developer productivity initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a strong software engineering foundation who has transitioned into DevOps or platform engineering, with a focus on automation, build systems, and deployment pipelines. The idea candidate will bring a mix of hands-on development experience and deep expertise in CI/CD pipeline design, infrastructure automation, and tooling optimization. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to enable scalable and reliable software delivery
  • Build and maintain developer tooling and build systems (Nx, Maven, GitHub Actions)
  • Automate workflows across cloud and on-prem/in-store environments
  • Optimize build, test, and deployment processes to improve speed and reliability
  • Troubleshoot issues related to pipelines, deployments, and system integrations
  • Develop automation scripts using Bash, Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript), and Java

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering
  • Strong daily use of AI tools ○ Copilot and Gemini
  • Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
  • Hands-on background with build tools (Maven, Nx, XML configurations) ○ Frontend Monorepo will be in the frontend (typescript)
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript)
  • Experience supporting frontend-based applications and services
  • Familiarity with cloud environments ○ GCP
  • Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) ○ Spinnaker - deployment mechanism for all of the cloud
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar)
  • Strong understanding of Git workflows and version control systems Experience working in fast-paced environments with frequent releases and hotfixes
  • Experience with Nx monorepos or large-scale build orchestration Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
