Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing Agile development team. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Java 21, AWS cloud technologies, Microservices architecture, and enterprise application development . This role requires a hands-on engineer who can independently drive complex development efforts, contribute to architecture decisions, mentor team members, and deliver scalable cloud-based solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and system modules Build and support Microservices and Event-Driven architectures Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS Lead technical troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization efforts Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, and Developers Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Standups, Retrospectives, and Demos Conduct code reviews and maintain high coding standards Support CI/CD deployments and automation initiatives Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of software development experience Strong hands-on experience with Java 21 Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices Minimum 3+ years of AWS development experience Experience with: AWS ECS, Lambda, Fargate CloudFormation S3 OpenSearch / Elasticsearch IAM Roles & Policies Strong understanding of: MVC Architecture Event-Driven Architecture Relational & NoSQL Databases Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps Agile/Scrum development experience Preferred Skills Experience with AWS SQS, SNS, or Kinesis Knowledge of Swagger, Postman, and API testing tools Experience with TDD/BDD methodologies Familiarity with Selenium and Cucumber Experience with databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, MySQL, Oracle, or Elasticsearch Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field resume to jvanzara@talentbridge.com
