Position:
Creative Designer•Photography, Graphic Design & Social Media Overview:
Our luxury hospitality client is seeking a talented Creative Designer with a strong focus on photography, graphic design, and social media content creation. This role is ideal for a visual storyteller who can bring our brand to life across multiple platforms. This is ONSITE in NYC 4 days a week and remote on Fridays. There will be occasional travel to Washington DC. Key Responsibilities Photography & Visual Content•must have your own camera
Oversee and provide creative direction for photo shoots.
Capture high-quality imagery using hotel-provided equipment for use on social media and the website.
Edit and optimize photos and videos for digital platforms.
Graphic Design
Conceptualize and design visuals for branding, social media campaigns, and advertising.
Create marketing collateral such as brochures, brand books, and sales materials.
Develop graphics and layouts for logos, websites, and promotional assets.
Social Media & Digital
Collaborate with the Marketing Director to execute engaging social media content.
Design ad assets for digital campaigns in partnership with external agencies.
Ensure all creative aligns with brand identity and marketing objectives.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with outside agencies, printers, production companies, and internal teams.
Manage design requests and maintain consistent quality across all deliverables.
Occasional travel to the Washington, D.C. property (1-2 times per month, seasonally). Requirements 3+ years of experience in a design-focused role.
Strong portfolio showcasing photography and graphic design work.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Experience in photo and video capture, editing, and optimization.

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines that enable analytics, reporting, and machine learning. The ideal candidate will partner with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver reliable batch and real-time data solutions, optimize performance, ensure data quality and governance, and drive best practices across the data stack. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and streaming data processing using tools such as Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow, and cloud-native services.
Implement and operate data ingestion solutions from diverse sources using CDC, connectors, and integration tools (e.g., Airbyte, Fivetran, Kafka Connect).
Build and optimize data warehouses and lakehouse solutions on Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse, including schema design, partitioning, clustering, and performance tuning.
Model and document data structures using dimensional and transactional modeling techniques (star schema, OLAP), and implement data modeling best practices for BI and analytics.
Develop and maintain data storage using formats like Parquet, Avro, and ORC, and manage large-scale storage on S3 or equivalent cloud object stores.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability for data pipelines and infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana, and logging tools; troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Ensure data quality, lineage, and metadata management through validation, testing (unit and integration), and governance practices; collaborate with data governance teams to enforce policies.
Automate deployment and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines; apply infrastructure-as-code and reproducible build practices.
Optimize SQL and data access patterns, implement indexing, partitioning strategies, and tune queries for large datasets.
Integrate and manage NoSQL and operational datastores where needed (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase), and design appropriate data flows between OLTP and OLAP systems.
Collaborate across teams to define API contracts, REST interfaces, and data contracts; work with JSON, XML, and other serialization formats as required.
Drive data security and compliance by implementing access controls, encryption, and secure data handling procedures.
Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to technical design discussions and documentation. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional experience building and operating data platforms and pipelines in production environments.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with query optimization, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
Proficient in Python and experience with Java or Scala for distributed processing workloads.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and orchestration tools such as Airflow, AWS Glue, or equivalent.
Experience with big data ecosystems including Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and Flink for batch and stream processing.
Working knowledge of cloud data services such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
Familiarity with data storage formats (Parquet, Avro, ORC) and object stores like S3.
Experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase) and designing data movement between systems.
Experience with infrastructure automation and containerization tools like Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices and Git.
Experience implementing CDC, real-time data pipelines, Kinesis or Kafka-based streaming, and event messaging (RabbitMQ).
Comfortable with Linux environments and shell scripting; experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus/Grafana).
Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, metadata management, and lineage tracking.
Experience writing unit and integration tests for data code and pipelines; strong attention to observability and testing practices.
Excellent communication skills, experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, and a track record of mentoring or leading engineering efforts.
