Job Description
The Staff Software Engineer is responsible for leading the team that supports and enhances the code base used for company's administrative and reporting tools. Responsible for all development practices for the web and services (integration) platform. Lead the implementation of the full stack web experience. Work closely with UX/UI department in leading the technical vision for our products. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers to deliver compelling and efficient tools/products. Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues. Lead, coach and train a team of full stack developers. Design/Manage implementation of overall product and service integration architecture. Prioritize/Manage development effort required in order to fulfill product feature requests in a timely manner. Define/Design architecture/solutions, working with enterprise architects and the Manager, Software Engineering in order to create scalable/robust web applications. Create technical specifications and test plans. Consistently write, translate, and code automation scripts to test, maintain, and monitor solutions. Work with the DevOps to transition software into a production environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum of 7 years of enterprise web development experience, 3 years' experience leading teams of software developers. Strong understanding of enterprise technology stack Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems Strong in-depth experience in SQL performance tuning Strong experience with Guidewire Hands on AI implementation experience Hands on experience with all layers of the development stack, including Java EE backend and Angular frontend.
