Job Description

The Opportunity Victor Sierra Aviation is seeking a Solutions Developer to help build enterprise-wide software solutions, workflow automations, and AI-driven tools that support our growing business. This role will partner with leaders and teams across multiple operating companies and locations to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will help design and deploy practical technology solutions that create measurable business value and support the continued growth of Victor Sierra Aviation. The ideal candidate will be someone who: Is comfortable building systems where the path is not fully defined and can move from a rough idea to a working system that delivers real business value Understands the difference between experimentation and production, recognizing that building a model or prototype is only the beginning and that the real work is deploying it, integrating it into business workflows, and ensuring it performs reliably over time Has working knowledge of how businesses operate and enjoys working with operators, finance teams, and commercial leaders to understand problems and translate them into practical technical solutions Communicates clearly and can explain what they built, why it works, and the tradeoffs involved Can work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and focuses on solutions that are simple, practical, and useful Key Responsibilities Software Development & Automation Design, build, and deploy enterprise-wide software tools and business solutions Develop workflow automations that eliminate manual processes and improve efficiency Create internal and customer-facing tools that support operational workflows Leverage AI capabilities, including large language models and intelligent automation, to drive measurable business value Build dashboards, web-based tools, and user-friendly interfaces for cross-functional teams Data Analysis & Applied Intelligence Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement Analyze data related to inventory, purchasing, pricing, operations, and customer workflows Build reports, dashboards, and insights that support better business decisions Integrate solutions with ERP systems, APIs, and enterprise data platforms Strategic Impact Support initiatives across multiple VSA operating companies and locations Help shape enterprise-wide AI and automation capabilities Identify opportunities where software and automation can create leverage Document solutions and processes to support long-term scalability Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline 3-5+ years of software development experience, with a demonstrated ability to ship working applications Strong programming proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript; comfort working across the stack from data processing to front-end interfaces Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, with preference for Microsoft Azure; comfort working within cloud-native data and application services Working knowledge of SQL and relational data modeling; ability to work confidently within structured, enterprise data environments Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs; comfort integrating with third-party systems and ERP platforms Ability to work across ambiguity by taking a business problem with no prescribed solution and deliver a working system on a real timeline Strongly Preferred Active and fluent use of AI coding assistants, LLMs, and generative AI tools in day-to-day development work Familiarity with distribution, manufacturing, or e-commerce business operations; understanding the problems before being asked to solve them is a real advantage Exposure to ERP systems (Infor preferred) and their data models or API surfaces Experience building web-based tools and dashboards that put data and automation in the hands of non-technical users (React, Streamlit, Flask, or similar) Experience with data analysis and applied statistics so that you can work with real business datasets, identify what matters, and communicate findings clearly Aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing industry experience is a genuine differentiator Why Victor Sierra Aviation Victor Sierra Aviation is a multi-entity general and business aviation manufacturing and distribution organization executing a disciplined acquisition strategy alongside a focused e-commerce growth strategy.
