We are hiring an Applications Engineering Specialist. This is a good fit for someone early in their career who has CAD training and wants to build technical skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment with experienced engineers to learn from. What you'll do: Use AutoCAD and Inventor to modify and prepare electrical drawings and product documentation for customer orders Review customer specifications and drawings to identify product requirements for standard orders Build and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) in our ERP system and prepare manufacturing work orders Assemble submittal packages with drawings, product data, and installation documentation for customers Work closely with a Senior Applications Engineering Specialist who will train and mentor you on our products, electrical codes, and order processes Support our manufacturing and sales teams with routine technical questions and documentation What we offer: Competitive starting salary with room to grow as your skills develop Health, dental, and vision coverage Life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability 401(k) with a company match A stable company with a long track record and a team that invests in developing its people What we're looking for: Associate degree in CAD, drafting, electrical engineering technology, or a related technical field. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is also welcome. Relevant work experience in place of a degree will be considered. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Inventor. You should be comfortable modifying drawings and producing technical documentation. Ability to read basic electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Some exposure to electrical drawings through coursework counts. Strong attention to detail. A lot of this work lives in the accuracy of your drawings and documentation. Good organizational habits. You will manage multiple orders at once and need to keep files, revisions, and deadlines straight. Willingness to learn. This role comes with real mentorship. You do not need to know isolated power systems or healthcare electrical codes coming in. We will train you. Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
