Job Description

LabLink Product Engineer PG LifeLink | Erlanger, KY (Cincinnati metro) Full-Time $86,190 - $116,610/year About PG LifeLink PG LifeLink has been a trusted name in isolated power and laboratory connectivity solutions for decades, serving hospitals, research labs, universities, and data centers across North America. Our LabLink product line — covering furniture power distribution units, multioutlet assemblies, vertical power poles, and ceiling service panels — is the backbone of how modern labs get power, data, and gas where they need it. We're a close-knit team of about 40 people who take quality seriously and take care of each other. The Role We're looking for a technically sharp engineer to own the application and product engineering work behind our LabLink product line. This isn't a pure design role sitting behind a CAD station, you'll be the technical voice for the product from customer inquiry through production release. You'll interpret project drawings and specifications, configure compliant solutions, build the documentation that manufacturing needs to execute, and work alongside our Technical Sales Manager to make sure what we promise customers is what we can actually build. If you've spent time in low-voltage power distribution, wiring devices, power distribution units, or related product lines and you're comfortable translating architectural and electrical plans into manufacturable product configurations, this role was built for you. What You'll Do Review customer plans, architectural drawings, and technical specifications to determine the right LabLink product configurations, and make sure every solution is compliant with applicable NEC and UL/ETL requirements. Prepare approval drawings, assembly details, and electrical schematics using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor; process ECOs and maintain documentation in accordance with ISO-aligned quality standards. Build and maintain part numbers, BOMs, and production work orders in our ERP system, and perform technical review before releasing orders to the floor. Serve as the technical liaison with UL/ETL listing agencies on product compliance and listing maintenance. Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to resolve manufacturing questions and identify opportunities to reduce cost, simplify production, or improve reliability. Participate in new product development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the LabLink line. What You'll Bring Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a closely related discipline required; Bachelor's degree in EE or EET strongly preferred. At least 3 years of experience in a technical engineering role in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to low-voltage power distribution systems, wire management, power strips, PDUs, power pedestals, track busway, or modular wiring. Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent 2D CAD; 3D CAD experience (Autodesk Inventor or similar) a plus. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and UL/ETL listing requirements; laboratory electrical standards experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and architectural plans. Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working directly with customers, design professionals, and internal production teams. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple concurrent projects without dropping threads. Experience with ERP systems, document control platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite. Work Authorization — Please Read Before Applying PG LifeLink requires permanent, unrestricted U.S. work authorization for this position. We do not provide visa sponsorship of any kind, now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, or
STEM OPT.
