Job Description:
No sponsorship available now or in the future. Our oil and gas client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Developer to join their development team. This role will support oil & gas commercial applications and is open to candidates in Owensboro, KY or the surrounding area. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications Build and support cloud-native applications and services within AWS environments Develop and maintain solutions leveraging AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and related cloud technologies Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure teams Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy Ensure application performance, quality, scalability, and responsiveness Support CI/CD automation and modern deployment practices Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional software development experience Strong experience with either: .NET stack (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core), OR JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, front-end frameworks) Experience with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, S3, and IAM Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and modern web architectures Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) Strong problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular or React Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Knowledge of microservices architecture Experience working in Agile development environments Prior experience supporting commercial applications within the oil & gas industry is a plus
