Job Description

Job Description We are seeking am Application Engineer to design, develop, and deploy industrial automation software solutions for AI data center commissioning and operations. You will build robust, scalable SCADA and control system architectures with a primary focus on Ignition SCADA, Allen-Bradley PLC integration, and AVEVA platforms. The ideal candidate is self-driven with a strong systems integration background and hands on experience with Ignition. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and commissioning Ignition SCADA systems for AI data center environments, including gateway configuration, tag architecture, alarming, and reporting. This involves building and maintaining Ignition projects leveraging Ignition's module ecosystem (Perspective, Vision, Tag Historian, Alarm Notification, etc.) You will also work to configure and program Allen-Bradley PLCs, ensuring seamless integration with Ignition and existing facility infrastructure. Developing and deploying AVEVA (Wonderware) System Platform solutions where required, including historian integration. This includes integrating SCADA systems with data historians (Ignition Tag Historian, AVEVA/Wonderware Historian, OSI PI) for acquisition, analysis, and reporting while also developing custom scripting in Python (Jython within Ignition), .NET, and JavaScript to enhance system functionality. You must be familiar with configuring and troubleshooting communication protocols including Modbus, OPC UA/DA, DNP3, and TCP/IP while also conducting system testing, commissioning, and upgrades with minimal disruption to operations. This is a full-time position with the ability to be remote but requires the ability to travel up to 50% of the time to Louisiana and Texas Datacenter locations. Compensation for this role ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 based on years of experience.   •  Strong experience with Ignition SCADA platform — design, configuration, deployment, and gateway administration.
  •  Experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs using Structured Text, Function Block Diagrams, and/or Ladder Logic.
  •  Proficiency in Python (including Jython for Ignition scripting), with additional experience in JavaScript, Visual Basic, or C#.
  •  Experience deploying and commissioning SCADA systems in data center environments.
  •  AI Datacenter experience (Commissioning and programming) Controls systems for the BMS Systems
  •  Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
  •  Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer meetings or deployments (most work is currently remote).
  •  Inductive Automation certifications (Ignition Core, Gold).
  •  Familiarity with OSI PI architecture, data modeling, and SCADA integration.
  •  Experience with system integration via JSON, REST, XML, and SQL.
  •  Experience creating and modifying HMI screens, alarms, and reports across multiple SCADA platforms.
  •  Familiarity with AVEVA (Wonderware) products including System Platform, InTouch, and Operations Control.
