We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Solutions Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping us achieve our mission by putting our core values into action every day. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for helping Symmons Evolution pilot opportunities convert into successful portfolio rollouts. This role sits at the intersection of technical validation, customer coordination, and commercial expansion. Help define pilot success criteria, coordinate launch readiness, track proof of value, surface ROI, and support the transition from pilot to broader portfolio adoption. This role is critical to scaling Evolution into a multi-million-dollar business across thousands of facilities over the next 2-5 years.Responsibilities Pilot Ownership & Conversion:
Serve as the primary technical and relationship lead for pilot opportunities, defining success criteria and driving the transition from "Proof of Concept" to full portfolio adoption.Pilot Readiness & Customer Enablement:
Support pilot launch readiness through customer onboarding, technical training, and coordination needed to ensure pilots are implemented cleanly and positioned to prove value.Success Criteria Definition:
Partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to define clear pilot goals, measurable success criteria, and what must be proven to justify rollout.Technical Product Expert:
Provide high-level technical expertise in order to specify Evolution building management hardware, sensors, and firmware that aligns with proving out the customer's goals in water savings.Value Demonstration:
Identify, use, and demonstrate system data collected from the hardware to prove ROI during the pilot phase.Remote Training:
Conduct remote customer training sessions (via Zoom/Teams) on the Evolution UI and hardware ecosystem.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the Director of Product, Customer Success Manager, Engineering, and Sales to relay ROI data points to help close business from the pilots.Operational Streamlining:
Assist in building standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline the scaling of integrations for pilots as the business grows.Provider Coordination:
Manage relationships with outside service providers, including software developers and hardware suppliers, to ensure pilot site stability. Ability to travel up to 20% as required with possible overnight stays. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Required, ideally in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related technical field Strong ability to empathize with and service customers 1 - 3 years of experience in customer success, solutions engineering, technical sales, business development, operations, or a related customer-facing technical role preferred Knowledge of best practices in customer support and retention Strong written and verbal communication Strong aptitude for technical software products (firmware/software) Must be decisive, iterative, and agile in the face of imperfect data Works well in a changing environment and can pivot and redirect as the needs of the business grow and change Comfortable with learning about new software technology / tech savvy and can teach and show others how to use new software Able to multi-task and is comfortable taking on additional responsibilities as required Self-motivated and willing to ask clarifying questions and challenge the team Commercially minded and excited by helping pilots turn into larger business winsCompany Overview:
