Overview Akumen is seeking a Senor DevSecOps Engineer to provide senior technical leadership for secure software delivery, cloud automation, and continuous integration/continuous delivery operations on a federal program. This role integrates security into every phase of the software development lifecycle and leads implementation of DevSecOps best practices across development, operations, and platform teams. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using infrastructure-as-code practices. Integrate security scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance checks into delivery workflows. Support patching, recovery, release management, and secure deployment activities. Provide technical leadership across DevSecOps processes, tools, and platform modernization initiatives Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or secure platform engineering. Hands-on experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines in cloud-hosted environments. Experience with infrastructure as code, automated security testing, and release management practices. Demonstrated expertise supporting multiple applications and complex technical environments. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a related field. Experience with AWS, Databricks, containerization, and platform automation. Experience with federal cybersecurity and compliance requirements. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or comparable security/cloud certifications. Experience supporting machine learning, analytics, or data platform delivery environments. Clearance Requirement Must possess an active Secret security clearance or higher , or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher in accordance with contract requirements.
