Software Engineer Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in embedded systems and a strong background in software development. This role involves working on cutting-edge mobile equipment for on/off-highway applications, ensuring high performance and reliability. Responsibilities Develop and maintain embedded software for mobile equipment. Ensure the software meets high-performance and reliability standards. Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Utilize JIRA, Confluence, and Git for software development and project management. Essential Skills Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming. Strong experience with JSON and Python. Excellent debugging skills for troubleshooting embedded systems. Experience with J1939/CANopen and Vector CANalizer. Familiarity with RTOS and software development for mobile equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience with mobile equipment (on/off-highway) is highly desirable. Work Environment The work environment consists of a cubicle team environment supporting multiple projects. The role offers 2 weeks of vacation and 10 paid holidays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hagerstown, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54.00 - $72.00/hr.
