, (SGA), is searching for an AWS Software Engineer for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Rockville, MD or Tysons, VA .
Responsibilities :
Problem Solving

- Navigate AWS services to troubleshoot across distributed systems
- Analyze logs, metrics, and traces to diagnose problemsMindset & Approach

- Proactively identify inefficiencies and technical debt
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Question assumptions and advocate for better solutionsTechnical Leadership

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Document designs and troubleshooting guides
Required Skills:
- 8-10+ years software development
- 5+ years AWS cloud platform experience
- Frontend application support/development experience is a plus
- Production incident response and on-call exposerAWS Experience (5+ years)
- Core services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, API Gateway
- QuickSight for dashboards and data visualization
- CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray for monitoring and troubleshooting
- IAM, Security services, VPC networking
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)Programming & Development
- Strong in Python, Node.js, Go, or similar
- Java knowledge is a plus
- Experience with frontend applications (React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus
- RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- CI/CD pipelines (GitLab exposure preferred)Databases
- SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora)
Preferred Skills:
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
- Serverless architecture experience
- GitLab CI/CD pipelines
