Job Description

Our IT services client in Scarborough, ME is seeking an IT Configuration Engineer who utilizes strong customer service skills to configure PC and Mac computers for client end-users, and perform basic configurations of network and server equipment. In this onsite role, you will work closely with operations teams to receive, configure, and ship computers and project equipment purchased by clients. In addition, you will assist with the ongoing maintenance of the systems supporting the configuration process. This role will be based in an office, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively and professionally via email, phone, and/or instant messaging with your colleagues and clients, including C-level and other VIPs, to translate client requests into technical results in a timely manner Track and submit time accurately and consistently in accordance with internal processes. Maintain and update configuration documentation Utilize strong working knowledge of Windows and Mac OS environments and common applications to ensure systems are configured properly and consistently Maintain imaging infrastructure, including but not limited to: preparation and deployment of new operating systems and line-of-business applications, and validation of new hardware models and deployment of driver packs Receive inbound equipment deliveries and assist with packaging and outbound shipments as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
College degree preferred but not required A minimum of 2 years related work experience (including internships) Strong written and verbal communication skills Must be customer focused and willing and able to provide "white glove" service Strong problem-solving skills Detail-oriented, and able to follow and adhere to defined processes Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while producing high quality results
Preferred Skills:
Demonstrates enthusiasm for technology and a willingness to learn. Prior experience with imaging technologies such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit or Immybot preferred Experience with PowerShell, VB, or similar scripting language preferred General technical aptitude and comfort learning new tools and systems
Pay:
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
