Back Android Application Development Lead#2016909 Auburn Hills, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Android Application Development Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android app development, with a specialization in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and automotive Android. This role requires a deep understanding of modern Android development practices and the ability to lead and mentor a growing team of developers. Candidate shall also be collaborating and working cross functionally with designers, technical artists, and platform software engineers to develop apps for an enhanced in-vehicle user experience.
Understand and develop upon android graphical framework to support scalable multi display applications.
Develop and modify android middleware components as required to support application requirements as required.
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to industry best practices.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality products.
Implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of applications using automated testing frameworksMaintain clear and comprehensive documentation for all development processes and codebases.
Manage the delivery of Apps for different vehicle programsStay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously improving development processes and tools. Location(s) 1000 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326,
In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, building Android SDKs, Android graphical framework, multi display frameworks, and Vehicle HALsExperience with Android Automotive OS is preferredProficiency with Android Studio, Git, Gerrit, and other development tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

United States Requirements Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldA minimum of 8 years of experience in Android development with expertise in Human Machine Interface developmentStrong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose (Preferred), User Experience (UX) implementation and Automotive Android.In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, building Android SDKs, Android graphical framework, multi display frameworks, and Vehicle HALsExperience with Android Automotive OS is preferredProficiency with Android Studio, Git, Gerrit, and other development tools.
