Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for an onsite skilled Software Engineer with hands-on experience building AI-powered systems and integrating large language models (LLMs) into real-world mechanical engineering designs. You will design, develop, and maintain software that connects disparate services and data sources, with AI and LLM orchestration as a core competency. If you thrive at the intersection of software architecture and applied AI, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities Design and implement software integrations between internal services, third-party APIs, and data pipelines using REST, GraphQL, gRPC, python, and webhook patterns. Build, deploy, and maintain LLM-powered features including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool use / function calling, and agentic workflows. Evaluate and select LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, open-source models) and orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, custom) for each use case. Develop and maintain robust AI middleware — rate limiting, caching, token management, logging, and fallback strategies — to ensure reliability at production scale. Integrate AI components into existing products and platforms (CRMs, ERPs, databases, communication tools) through well-designed APIs and event-driven architectures. Write clean, testable, well-documented code; participate in code reviews; and contribute to engineering standards and best practices. Monitor model performance and output quality; implement evaluation frameworks, A/B testing, and human feedback loops to improve AI features over time. Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and UX designers to translate business requirements into AI-integrated solutions. Stay current with the rapidly evolving LLM and AI tooling landscape and recommend new technologies or approaches as appropriate. You will manage our current IT infrastructure and systems. Requirements Proven experience in software development with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts. Proficiency in Ruby on Rails for backend web development coupled with front-end skills in JavaScript frameworks like React. Hands-on experience deploying applications on AWS or Azure cloud platforms with knowledge of cloud security best practices. Familiarity with RESTful API design principles for building scalable integrations between services. Solid understanding of databases such as MySQL or SQL Server along with SQL query optimization skills. Experience working within Agile methodologies using tools like GitHub or SVN for version control. Knowledge of programming languages including Python, Java, C#, C++, C, VBA for various application development projects. Ability to develop applications across multiple platforms including Linux and Windows environments. Understanding of web security standards such as RBAC and
