welding Materials handling Associate's degree Full Job Description Summary Develop processes, concept sketches and proposals for special machines and equipment. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Managing workload by setting priority of RFQ
  • Developing 2D concepts for new equipment proposals
  • Developing concept process summary documentation
  • Developing machine cycle time estimates from concepts
  • Assign cost in materials and hours to the concepts
  • Develop formal customer proposal document
  • Understand concepts and capable to implement it into a design that aligns with our customer's needs
  • Maintain good customer relations during the quote process
  • Dealing with outside vendors to obtain quotes and concepts
  • Thinking outside of the box to create unique / special designs
  • Follow all company safety protocol Qualifications
  • Ability to read, interpret, and explain complex documents including but not limited to work instructions drawings, statistical data, CAD data, and CMM data.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in complex situations
  • Proficient in the 2D system layout design
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint
  • Understanding of different software translations. step, iges, catia
  • Understanding of mig welding, spot welding, robotics, material handling and robot cells
  • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances) and how to apply to fixture design
  • Experience and understanding of the automation industry
  • Self-starter Organizational Culture

  • Appropriate dress attire and personal hygiene along with cleanliness
  • Reporting to work dressed in a professional / business casual manner

  • Positively supports change throughout the company Reporting Structure This position has no supervisory responsibility and will report to the President. Physical Work Conditions The physical demands required to successfully perform the job are as follows.
  • The employee will need to be able to stand, walk, sit or kneel
  • The employee will need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • The employee will need to be able to read, write, hear and talk
  • Proper personal protective equipment must be worn when required Education Required/ Preferred
  • Minimum of an associate degree and related experience or training
  • 2- 5 years' experience estimating and concepting automated systems
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
