Job Description

DevOps Virtual Development Engineer Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is looking for an engineer to join the Production Application Team of the Infotainment Software Department, which undertakes various innovation projects related to infotainment and UI/UX systems software development efforts concerning the next generation of vehicle software architecture for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles, as well as the production application of software features and service contents
What You Will Do:
Develop the core software engineer workflows using modern DevOps techniquesDefine and configure the DevOps environment with a focus on automation, configuration, containerization, and virtualizationCreate integration-focused CI/CD to enable efficient stakeholder managementEnable the software to run virtually in the cloud for development and testing purposesDevelop, automate, and maintain the build environment for the embedded automotive softwareAutomate the test deployment infrastructureEnable remote access and maintenance of lab machinesTravel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally What You Will Bring to the
Role:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related disciplineProficiency with common DevOps software: OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker, QEMU, Artifactory, GitLab or GitHub, etc.

Experience with cloud development using AWS or Microsoft AzureExperience with cloud development for CI/CDProgramming experience in C/C++, Python, Java/Kotlin, and/or Bash ScriptingExperience in software development life cycle: infrastructure as code, requirements tracking, and test automation frameworksKnowledge in Agile and DevOps development processes and tools, such as Jira, Confluence, and BitbucketAbility to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExcellenttime management, self-management, and organization skillsAn ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelinesStrong written, oral, and interpersonal skillsGood communication skills and an ability to develop/maintain positive relationships with tech experts from the R D Center and internal counterpart teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related disciplineProfessional experience in an automotive DevOps settingExperience in automotive or IT-embedded product developmentProgramming experience in Rust, Go, and QtExperience in production software lifecycle: requirements, system design, development, maintenance, and release readiness for embedded software for vehicle systemsFamiliarity with automotive operating systems: Android, Linux, open-source software, QNX, and YoctoWorking knowledge of vehicle communication network systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.) and instrumentation/operation of data acquisition systems, such as
