Sr. Software Development Engineer Tesla Motors, Inc. paid holidays, flex time, 401(k) United States, Minnesota, Brooklyn Park Apr 24, 2026 What to Expect The Midwest Automation team designs and builds highly automated, custom manufacturing equipment - such as assembly lines and robotic workstations - that expands Tesla's global production capacity. What You'll Do Build software applications in C#/.NET and Angular that manage custom equipment bill of materials - demand, purchasing, receiving, inventory - and integrate with existing systems Collaborate with developers, testers, and end users to translate business process requirements for the custom equipment team into functional software tools Develop software that enables the custom equipment team to manage all business applications 24/7 and drive continuous improvements in the software Develop and maintain a clean and tested codebase Define development guidelines, introduce new technologies, document them, and train your project team in them Improve existing business database structures and design new ones Take the lead in coordinating with stakeholders and the team to develop innovative solutions in a very fast-paced environment Ability to travel domestically 10-20%, and internationally 1-2 times per year What You'll Bring 5+ years of working experience in the areas of C#/.NET and/or Angular Experience in software architecture Experience with event-driven, micro-service, and domain-driven design Experience with
SQL, T-SQL
& Entity Framework, modern web development, DevOps (especially Jenkins & Kubernetes); message bus systems (such as Kafka) is also a plus Proficiency in rigorous software development practices, including version control (e.g., Git), containerization (e.g., Docker), code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging.
