Position Overview:
Product Application Engineer operates as a technical interface between the commercial and the technical area, ensuring technical support to the sales network and cooperating with commercial team to support activities. Referring complex problems or requests to higher level staff (Technical Managers). Claims and Studies 60% Collect and filter the information in order to provide useful information for the study. Discuss with different parties involved, both technical and commercial. Identify the customers' needs and transform them into requirements for the laboratory for the rationalization of products and start necessary commercial actions Organize samples for preparation and shipping. Identify the customers' needs and organize the preparation of samples according to technical and commercial information. Formalize the internal sample order and define the shipping terms based on the standard production times and / or customers needs. Conduct samples follow up by using the information technology available. Coordinate the activities regarding the samples, preparation, and shipping and / or the equipment required for the technical trials through the management of specific trials protocols Manage customers or distributors claims related to the product quality. Collect the information required to determine the problem and formalize the complaint. Cooperate with the lab manager in order to identify the possible cause and define any corrective and or preventative actions. Ensure the execution of the actions agreed with the Technical Manager and verify effectiveness. Technical Support 40% Ensure technical and commercial support to customers, distributors and relevant commercial people. Collect the information required to codify new, potential and or strategic customers, identifying their main application field. Provide technical support according to the application knowledge, the experience gained, and the information collected from the internal technical people. Perform technical and business visits to customers and participate in exhibition events. Coordinate the certification requirements from customers and distributors. Manage the requests for technical documentation, technical sheets, MSDS, certificates of conformity and forward them to relevant people by providing support if required.
Qualifications:
Required Some travel for customer sites or events 2+ years in SAP Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering or similar field Excellent communication skills Preferred Proficiency in Microsoft office Data entry experience Attention to detail
