Job Description
Under general supervision, the Application Programmer is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that support the institution's needs. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, supporting APIs and integrations, and ensuring the reliability and performance of applications. This is NOT a remote position Develop, test, and maintain software applications to meet institutional needs. Develop and utilize cloud hosted solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements. Support APIs and integrations with other systems. Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of applications. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Document application processes and procedures. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field At least two (2) years' experience in software development or application programming Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python or similar Experience with web development frameworks and technologies Knowledge of database management systems and SQL OR any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.Work Environment:
Primarily office environment, Work involves the regular use of computers, programming tools, and enterprise software systems. Occasional interact with faculty, staff, and external vendors to support institutional technology needs. Work is generally performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards.Physical Demands:
Primarily sedentary work, involving extended periods of sitting, typing and reviewing data on a computer Regular use of standard office equipment Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching when accessing files or equipment Light lifting of materials or equipment up to 20 pounds High concentration and attention to detail is essential.Normal Working Hours:
Standard schedule, Monday - Friday; occasional early morning, evening or weekend hours may be required to meet reporting deadlines, support audits or implement data-related projects.Similar remote jobs
