Introduction:

We are currently seeking a Mainframe Engineer to join our team in either Smithfield, RI, or Merrimack NH. This role will involve classic Mainframe Developer responsibilities and be part of a long term project focused on modernization efforts.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain mainframe software using

COBOL, IBM

DB2, JCL, VSAM, and SQL Participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of mainframe applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to mainframe applications Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in mainframe development

Requirements:

Required Skills:

Proficiency in COBOL programming language Experience working with IBM DB2, JCL, VSAM, and SQL Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience in mainframe software development Knowledge of modernization techniques for mainframe applications Certifications in COBOL or mainframe technologies Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
