Application Architect#26-06293 Jersey City, NJ Hybrid Contract Starts 8/01/2026 Ends 7/30/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Mainframe and .NET Modernization Lead for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role will lead mainframe and .NET modernization initiatives, including the execution of proof of concepts using AI-assisted development. The ideal candidate will define and implement AI agent-based development strategies and intelligent workflow orchestration frameworks to automate the modernization process. Experience with target-state technologies like Java and Informatica is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Lead mainframe and .NET modernization initiatives, including the execution of proof of concepts leveraging AI-assisted development methodologies (e.g., LLM-driven code analysis, reverse engineering, and transformation) Define and implement AI agent-based development strategies and intelligent workflow orchestration frameworks to automate and optimize end-to-end modernization processes, including code assessment, transformation, validation, and deployment

Requirements:

7+ years of experience in mainframe and .NET environments Proven expertise in AI/LLM-assisted code reverse engineering, refactoring, and transformation Experience designing and implementing AI agents and workflow orchestration frameworks for engineering automation Strong background in automation-driven code transformation and AI-enabled modernization practices Proficiency in Java, Informatica, and Python Architecture mindset with the ability to define modernization strategy, target-state architectures, and scalable transformation roadmaps Ability to align AI-driven solutions with enterprise architecture principles, governance, and long-term technology strategy Experience executing POCs and scaling AI-led modernization solutions across large,plex application portfolios Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
