Application Architect#26-06288 Jersey City, NJ Jacksonville, FL Charlotte, NC Hybrid Contract Starts 8/03/2026 Ends 8/02/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a System Engineer / Architect for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ, Charlotte, NC or Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for translating business requirements into technical infrastructure designs. The ideal candidate will partner with technology subject matter experts to produce high-level and low-level design solutions that meet business needs while adhering to enterprise architecture standards and frameworks.

Responsibilities:

Work with the client to understand Business Requirements by reviewing the Business Requirements Document Translate Business Requirements into Technical Requirements and identify appropriate SMEs for design discussions Translate Technical Requirements into a Low-Level Design (LLD) solution using the IT Service Management (ITSM) Framework's Service Request (SR) Design Console Partner with Technology Infrastructure (TI) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to produce a design solution that meets the Business Requirements Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs) using Visio and Adobe along with the LLDs Understand Reference Architecture standards to produce a standard and supported solution Identify any non-standard products and address them with appropriate parties for resolution Work closely with the Chief Engineer and Capacity Planner to agree on a hosting target location and solution for CPU, Memory, and Storage sizing Document requirements for CPU, Memory, Disk (type, size, ownership), backups (schedules, retentions), and applications (Database, Middleware, Presentation) Work closely with the Technology Project Manager tomunicate status, updates, and escalate issues Support Technology Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

Ability to create End-to-End Infrastructure Solutions Knowledge of database technologies and interfaces Understanding of Cloud and Cloud-based technologies Understanding of Network infrastructure (HTTP, TCP, DNS, Load-balancers) Ability to create conceptual infrastructure designs using MS Visio Customer service-focused, with goodmunication skills, a self-starter, and self-supervised Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead the design (Analyze) phase of a project Ability to meet negotiated deliverable dates with required output Able to articulate proposed solutions to business representatives as well as technical hosting team resources Desired skills: Software Developer experience Understanding of
