Job Overview:
Pay Range:
$55hr - $60hr Seeking an experienced Guidewire Configuration Developer to configure, customize, and support Guidewire applications within enterprise insurance environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Guidewire configuration, Gosu development, integrations, and insurance domain processes while supporting large-scale transformation and modernization initiatives.
Requirement/Must Have:
Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire configuration and development. Expertise with one or more Guidewire platforms including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter. Strong knowledge of Gosu programming language. Experience with PCF, Product Model, Rules Engine, Data Model Extensions, and Guidewire Studio. Experience configuring business rules, workflows, validations, and UI components. Strong understanding of Guidewire architecture, coding standards, and upgrade best practices. Experience designing and developing integrations using SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON. Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Experience working within Agile and Scrum delivery environments.
Experience:
Experience configuring and customizing Guidewire BillingCenter based on business requirements. Experience developing and maintaining Product Model components including lines of business, coverages, conditions, and exclusions. Experience developing UI screens, PCF files, workflows, and validations. Experience implementing custom plugins, configuration extensions, and business logic using Gosu. Experience designing and implementing rating rules and rate configurations. Experience performing data model extensions aligned with Guidewire upgrade standards. Experience integrating Guidewire with third-party systems including rating engines, document management systems, and payment platforms. Experience supporting unit testing, system testing, UAT, and production support activities. Experience troubleshooting and resolving defects across multiple environments. Experience supporting Guidewire upgrades, patches, and performance tuning initiatives. Experience mentoring junior developers and participating in design reviews and sprint planning activities. Experience working within property and casualty insurance environments preferred. Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) preferred. Exposure to Guidewire Digital Portals such as CustomerEngage or ProducerEngage preferred. Prior experience supporting large transformation or Guidewire migration programs preferred.
Responsibilities:
Configure and customize Guidewire applications based on business and technical requirements. Develop and maintain Product Model components, UI screens, PCF files, workflows, and business rules. Perform advanced Gosu development for custom plugins, extensions, and business logic implementation. Design and implement integrations using web services, messaging, and event-driven architectures. Collaborate with architects and business analysts to define technical designs and solution patterns. Ensure compliance with Guidewire coding standards and best practices. Support testing, defect resolution, deployments, and production support activities. Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, and design discussions. Mentor junior Guidewire developers and configuration analysts. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate insurance workflows into scalable technical solutions.
Should Have:
Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance concepts. Knowledge of policy lifecycle, claims lifecycle, billing, invoicing, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations. Experience supporting Personal Auto, Commercial Auto, Property, Workers Compensation, or General Liability lines of business. Guidewire certifications preferred.
