Job Description

Established in 1926, Family Service League is a social services agency transforming lives and communities through mental health, addiction, housing, and essential human services with more than 60 social service programs in over 20 locations.
SCHEDULE
Monday Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM SUMMARY

Family Service League is seeking a full-time Developer for our Information Technology department in Bay Shore, NY. The Developer utilizes business process automation capabilities in Microsoft 365 (e.g., SharePoint Workflows, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) to enhance efficiencies and productivity, improve quality and compliance, reduce costs, and promote the adoption of cloud-based solutions for all Agency and shelter programs. The Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform based on company specifications, established patterns and best practices for SharePoint integration with other Microsoft products.

RESPONSIBILITIESAssess suitability for solutions in SharePoint Online and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)Design solutions based on established patterns and best practices for SharePoint integration with other Microsoft productsDesign, develop, customize team sites, libraries, lists, views, and workflowsProvide support and guidance to users on SharePoint and Power Platform features and functionalitiesProvide technical advice on best practices for SharePoint Online/Power Platform developmentAssist in driving the adoption of cloud solutions using the Power PlatformResearch current and emerging platforms and technologiesAll other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
An associates degree in computer science, telecommunications, information technology, or related field is required. A bachelors degree is preferred. At least 3 years experience working with SharePoint Online. Solid understanding of SharePoint Sites, lists, and libraries (including metadata and other associated functionality). Working knowledge of relational databases and data models, especially as applied to SharePoint lists and Power BI. Demonstrated project experience developing solutions in SharePoint Online. Demonstrated project experience developing solutions using the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate / Flow, Power BI). Strong proficiency in MS Office and Office 365 is required. Strong customer service orientation, excellent judgement and problem-solving ability, and verbal and written communication skills are required. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires sitting and working at a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to walk up and down stairs.
