Job Description

DCWP seeking a .NET/CRM Developer to join New York City Government. We are an exciting, energetic and innovative technology team. You would be part of a growing development team. You will work on developing custom .Net applications and when needed apply your knowledge on various Commercial off-the shelf software (COTS) applications, primarily Microsoft Dynamics 365. This hands-on position will be challenged to design and develop features to new or existing .NET applications that improve end-user productivity and increase overall efficiencies. You will work closely with senior Technology staff and product owners and be an integral part of the entire product cycle.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Design forms, workflow processes, web services, plugins, and other components needed to meet the business requirements within the Agency Dynamics 365 system
  • Modify and develop .NET code for various applications to meet the business needs of the agency
  • Work with a DBA to determine where and how to make additions and/or changes to the existing SQL database structure
  • Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts, software architects, and IT professionals to implement practical solutions
  • Ensure that all solutions are lightweight, scalable, completely secure, and built to a high level of quality
  • Create estimates on time and effort to complete assignments based on end-user requirements
  • Design and develop new solutions utilizing Web Services
  • Participate fully and actively in deployments and provisioning activities
COMPUTER SPECIALIST
(SOFTWARE)
  • 13632 Minimum Qualifications (1) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by twenty-four (24) semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time software experience in designing, programming, debugging, maintaining, implementing, and enhancing computer software applications, systems programming, systems analysis and design, data communication software, or database design and programming, including one year in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project; or (2) A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six (6) years of full-time satisfactory software experience as described in "1" above, including one year in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project; or (3) A satisfactory combination of education and experience that is equivalent to (1) or (2) above.
College education may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience in (2) above on the basis that sixty (60) semester credits from an accredited college is equated to one year of experience. A masters degree in computer science or a related computer field may be substituted for one year of the required experience in (1) or (2) above. However, all candidates must have a four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent, plus at least one (1) year of satisfactory full-time software experience in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project.
NOTE:
In order to have your experience accepted as Project Leader or Major Contributor experience, you must explain in detail how your experience qualifies you as a project leader or as a major contributor. Experience in computer operations, technical support, quality assurance (QA), hardware installation, help desk, or as an end user will not be accepted for meeting the minimum qualification requirements. Special Note To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level IV, in addition to the Qualification Requirements stated above, individuals must have one year of satisfactory experience in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project in data administration, database management systems, operating systems, data communications systems, capacity planning, and/or on-line applications programming. Preferred Skills 1. Solid knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using various methodologies. (i.e. Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, DevOps) 2. 7+ years of experience in developing web application using Microsoft .Net technologies 3. 5+ years of experience developing web applications in C# using ASP.Net, MVC, XML, and creating and consuming REST services/Web-API 4. 4+ years of front-end web application development utilizing JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular 4+, Angular Material UI, HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS 5. 4+ years of Database Development experience with Microsoft SQL Server with strong knowledge of T-SQL, good exposure to SQL Server 2008/2012/2014 6. Experienced in performing customizations and configurations on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM/XRM platform (2013/2015/2016/365) 7. Experience in developing .NET plugins using C# and writing web resources (HTML, JavaScript) for Dynamics CRM customizations 8. Experience in creation of entities, forms, views, and workflows/dialogs utilizing Microsoft Dynamics CRM 9. Experience developing reports using SSRS and data transformation using SSIS is desired but not mandatory. 10. Knowledge of iOS App Development is a huge plus 11. Knowledge of Cognos & Power BI is a plus 12. Microsoft certifications for Dynamics
