Job Title:
Mainframe COBOL Developer Location(s): York, NY Responsibilities Telecommunication | Mainframe COBOL Developer Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications on mainframe systems, ensuring business-critical functionality is preserved during migration. Analyze legacy COBOL codebases to identify modernization and migration requirements for Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Lead code refactoring or replatforming efforts, ensuring COBOL programs are compatible with cloud-based architectures. Work with data, infrastructure, and cloud teams to migrate datasets and integrate COBOL workloads with GCP services. Perform rigorous testing, debugging, and performance tuning of migrated COBOL applications to ensure reliability and scalability. Ampcus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
