Corning's Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world. Corning Environmental Technologies (CET) is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to join the Engineering Measurements & Controls group. This entry-level role focuses on developing and supporting measurement systems for image processing and vision-based measurement systems used in the inspection and production of CET products. Key Responsibilities Support development of computer vision measurement systems, including machine learning and AI applications Design and implement algorithms for image processing and dimensional measurement analysis Develop, test, and refine software to support system functionality and performance Assist with system assembly, validation, and troubleshooting Apply CNNs and other AI models to improve image recognition and processing Support transfer of technology from development to manufacturing Train internal teams on developed systems and maintain technical documentation Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field 1-3 years of experience in programming and computer vision system development Proficiency in C# and Python preferred Knowledge of image processing algorithms, machine learning, and AI technologies, including CNNs Understanding of object-oriented programming and software architecture concepts Experience with data retrieval, analysis, and reporting Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Halcon, OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch Knowledge of optical measurement systems, metrology, or manufacturing inspection applications Experience integrating AI-based solutions into manufacturing environments

 40+ hours per week This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $69,635.00 - $95,749.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
