We act as an engineering partner, developing data platforms, pipelines, and tools that enable scientists to focus on science—not on dealing with complex technology. We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires a seasoned technologist who can navigate ambiguity, drive technical decisions independently, and contribute to both our infrastructure and data systems. Core Technical Requirements Strong JavaScript proficiency for building interactive front-end applications Deep understanding of relational data modeling and database design principles Intuitive UX/UI design sense with focus on usability and user workflows Ability to translate business requirements into well-structured data models Key Competencies Autonomous work style with ability to scope, prioritize, and execute on technical initiatives with minimal direction Quick learner who can effectively shadow and knowledge-transfer Comfort operating in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements and priorities Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar across teams Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders Additional Desired Skills Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) Python proficiency Infrastructure as Code experience Bonus Qualifications Familiarity with low-code platforms such as Retool for rapid application development Experience working with AI agents and LLMs (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) for automation and productivity enhancement Compartilhar vaga: Nome completo
