Job Description
- Description
- The Staff Electrical Engineer will work on project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of projects including power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government and military facilities.
- Qualifications
- + Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience in electrical systems studies in the electric utility or industrial power distribution industry.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
+ Previous experience in development of protective relay settings in Transmission, or Distribution industry + Prior experience in commonly utilized system modelling software programs (ASPEN, CAPE, CYME, ETAP, SKM, etc.) + Knowledge of protection schemes and philosophies commonly applied at Transmission, and Distribution substations. + Developing native relay setting files using SEL's AcSELerator and GE's Enervista software programs + Ability to read and interpret electrical single lines, three lines, schematics, functional diagrams, etc. + Designing calculations, including short circuit calculation, current transformer performance and ratio selection, over-current element coordination, zone-distance element selection and coordination, and relay loadability calculation + Ability to perform Grounding, Arc Flash, and other Power system studies is a plus + Providing engineering support with construction and commissioning activities for substations This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
