National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) Position Overview Cornerstone is seeking a Software Sustainment Engineer to support the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC), 4th Intelligence Analysis Squadron (4 IAS), Non-Earth Imagery (NEI) Flight. Personnel supporting this effort will provide software sustainment, application maintenance, database support, automation development, and system enhancement activities supporting highly classified space intelligence missions. The selected candidate will support mission-critical analytic databases, data management systems, automation workflows, and software applications utilized to support intelligence production, data exploitation, and operational mission requirements. Personnel will work alongside Government engineers, scientists, intelligence analysts, and information technology professionals to ensure operational reliability, maintainability, and performance of mission systems supporting national security objectives. Responsibilities Maintain, sustain, and enhance mission-critical software applications, databases, and automation systems supporting Non-Earth Imagery (NEI) operations. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software, application, database, and user-reported issues. Support software testing, validation, quality assurance, and release management activities. Develop, maintain, and enhance scripts, automation tools, and data processing workflows. Support requirements analysis, defect identification, root-cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. Perform configuration management activities, version control, and software baseline maintenance. Support software deployments, upgrades, patches, and system enhancements in accordance with Government direction. Maintain technical documentation, release notes, system configurations, and user support materials. Coordinate with Government stakeholders to assess operational impacts, validate system functionality, and support mission requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance, reliability, automation, and mission effectiveness. R equired Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting software engineering, software sustainment, application support, database management, or related technical disciplines. Experience maintaining and supporting operational software applications in enterprise or mission environments. Experience with software troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and configuration management. Experience supporting software development lifecycle activities and version control processes. Experience developing scripts, automation tools, or software enhancements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Desired Qualifications Experience supporting NASIC, NSIC, NGA, NRO, AFRL, USSF, or other Intelligence Community organizations. Experience supporting classified intelligence systems or Special Access Program (SAP) environments. Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other database technologies. Experience with Python, PowerShell, Java, C++, C#, or similar programming languages. Experience supporting DevSecOps, Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, or automated testing frameworks. Experience with Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, or similar version control platforms. Experience supporting data management systems, automation workflows, and intelligence production environments. Experience supporting Windows and Linux operating environments. Salary $135,000 The salary listed represents the anticipated starting salary range for qualified candidates. Higher compensation may be offered based on directly relevant experience, mission expertise, technical qualifications, certifications, education, and clearance level.
