  • Comscore, Total Visits, March 2025) Day to Day As a Software Engineer II on the Meta Profile team, you will design and build scalable natural-language generation pipelines and services that synthesize job and job seeker data into a single source of truth consumed across Matching and product surfaces.
You'll own features end to end: shaping technical designs, implementing and hardening ingestion and transformation stages, and instrumenting evaluation so we can measure how new profile signals impact ranking, retrieval, and overall match quality. You'll regularly partner with our Feature Store Plarform, Matching, and product teams to align schemas, resolve data quality issues, and run experiments, while mentoring less-experienced engineers on good engineering and debugging practices in this data

Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance software systems Contribute to system architecture and technical design, validating solutions through data and experimentation where appropriate Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards Own and support applications during business hours, ensuring system health and reliability Use metrics, logging, and analytics to make data-informed decisions and improve system performance Collaborate closely with partners across engineering, product, data science, and design to deliver solutions Contribute to cross-team initiatives and support the growth of other engineers through mentorship and knowledge sharing Skills/Competencies Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience Proficiency in one or more modern backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, or similar). Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
