JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a hands-on Automation Engineer to support robotic laboratory operations and automation workflows within a life sciences environment. This role will focus on maintaining, programming, and optimizing integrated robotic systems that replicate laboratory bench workflows at scale.Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and program automated laboratory systems, including robotic platforms and liquid handling instruments
- Support automation workflows, including assay development and execution in collaboration with scientific teams
- Troubleshoot and maintain: o Robotic systems o Liquid handlers o Integrated lab instrumentation
- Assist with automation software configuration (e.g., workflow scheduling platforms such as Momentum or equivalent)
- Partner with IT and engineering teams to support system integration and custom automation solutions
- Participate in: o Instrument validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) o Preventative maintenance coordination o Vendor documentation review
- Maintain system ownership responsibilities, including: o Access management o Instrument lifecycle tracking o Compliance adherence
